Maine (dog paradise)

A few weeks ago Joe and Julia took me on a vacation to a place called "Maine".
It was amazing! We spent an entire week there and I can say without a doubt, I have never had so much fun in my life! It was so awesome I couldn't even describe, so here are SOME pictures just to give a hint at some of the fun I had!

I went hiking, like a billion times!

I climbed on stuff!

I looked at the ocean!

I stood on rocks near the ocean!

I smelled things that made me really happy!

I went to the beach!

I made a friend!

I met a weird green thing that made funny noises.

I swam!

I rode in a boat!

I climbed a GIANT rock!

I climbed more rocks!

I looked under stuff!

I looked over a lake!

It was the best time... EVER!!! I hope they take me again.

Vacation!

I've been a busy dog and I needed a VACATION!
So, Joe and Julia took me to Saratoga Springs, New York a few weeks ago.
It was just what I needed! I spent a few days hiking in the woods, drinking spring water, swimming in a lake and walking around downtown eating gelato (YUM!) and going into dog stores. I had so much fun I slept the entire way back home!
In a few weeks we are going to a place called Maine for an entire week. I can't wait!
The hiking trails had awesome mud and frogs!

It smelled fantastic in the woods.

Swimming in Lake George.

Summer fun

This summer has been hot.
Super hot. I've spent a lot of time laying on the floor and eating pupsicles.
But, I've still managed to squeeze in a few hours of fun every day.
There were about 20 geese in the park one day, within minutes there were none!
I've learned to appreciate the water this summer.

This is an action shot of Asoka's new move. She bites my butt then leaps over me to bite cheek. I LOVE her.

Geese!

I LOVE chasing geese!
There is nothing more satisfying then chasing a goose and sending it back into the water with a powerful 'woof!'.
It's the best!
The only thing better then chasing a goose, is chasing two geese! Imagine how happy I was when I went to my favorite chasing spot and there were over 30 geese there!
 It was the BEST!!!!!

boo-boo

I got a boo-boo. I was playing with Asoka and whammed by toe. It hurt! Then Joe looked at my foot and saw that my nail was all broken. So he took me to the vet. I was really scared. I had a bad feeling that something was going to happen I wasn't going to like. Boy was I right! They took my into a the back room (never good!), took a pair of plier and yanked my nail off!!! Now I have to wear a bandage and take medicine until I'm all better. It's very embarrassing, even the stars on the bandage are kind of cool.

my boo-boo.

all bandaged up

Somerville Dog Festival 2011

The Somerville Dog Festival was this past weekend.
It was pretty fun. I wasn't as involved as last year. I didn't compete or do any of the demonstrations and Asoka didn't come. I was just there to have fun like all the dogs. I did try out sled pulling and that was surprisingly fun! I hope Joe and Julia get me a sled this winter so I can drag them around in it. All in all the festival was fun and I can't wait until years! I even wore the Somerville Dog Festival webcam for a while for a 'Roscoe's eye view' of the festivities. It's supposed to on the internets somewhere, but I can't find it. I'll update this post when I do.

Somerville Dog Festival 2011
It was a beautiful day for a festival

I met a dog who looked just like me only brown!!

After sled pulling, I got a prize! I love it.

Dog Paradise

First I would like to list the essential qualities of a Dog Paradise.

1. Leash free. I must be free to run like the wind.
2. Open fields.
3. Woods.
4. Swimmable water feature.
5. Big rocks.
6. Small animals for chasing. Preferably bunnies.
7. Other dogs for butt sniffing.

Two of my recent adventures have been to Dog paradise.

First, Me and my girl Asoka went to Stodder's Neck in Hingham, MA. It was AWESOME. So much to sniff with so little time.

Then, Julia took me to Great Brook Farm in Carlisle, MA. This place had everything with the addition of goats and several randomly place equestrian jumps. They also had horses walking around on the trails which was a little scary.

Doggie Pool

Last week when it was really HOT, Joe thought we might like it if he made us a little doggie-pool on the back porch.

We didn't.

This pool is NOT fun.
