Happy Holidays!

from Roscoe and Asoka!

and Roscoe & Joe & Julia

What "winter" means.

Winter means that it's cold outside.
When it's cold outside, Joe & Julia don't like to spend outside time with me.
Winter means that Asoka comes over for play dates a lot and we play inside where it's warm.
I don't have words for how fun it is, so I'll just let pictures tell you.

butt to the face! take that Asoka!

We look vicious, but it's all LOVE.

she bit my butt!!!

time out.

isn't she pretty?!?!

trying out my snake moves on Asoka.

sometimes there are casualties.  this poor bear was a xmas gift. Asoka ate his ear and then we tore in half. honestly, it was kinda fun to destroy it.

after she leaves, I'm WIPED OUT! nap time.

Today Joe build us a fort on the bed with pillows.
That was a good idea!

SNOW!!!!

It snowed!
Holy crap!
I'm not even sure what this stuff is but it has totally changed everything!
I don't know where to do my business anymore. Everything smells weird. It's slippery.
And... you can eat it!!!

The verdict is still out, but I think it might be fun.

Frisbee!!!

I've been learning to play frisbee!!! It's pretty awesome. At first I didn't get it. I tried just chasing the frisbee and then bringing it back like I do with the ball, but the frisbee is hard to pick up off the ground. Not fun. Then Joe told me that I could catch the frisbee while it was still in the air. I tried it and it was really fun! Now I love to play frisbee!!!

Baby, it's cold outside!

29ºF with a wind chill in the teens. Believe me, the wind is blowing!
It's cold out. Good thing I'm prepared.

The weather won't stop this dog from playing outside!

We're famous!!!

Somerville Journal had a reporter at the new "0 New Washington Street" dog park the other day and he interviewed us. Check it out!

Thanksgiving!

This was my first Thanksgiving and it was pretty awesome. I'm very thankful for Joe and Julia and the way they spoil me. I'm also super thankful that I got to spend my first Thanksgiving with my girlfriend Asoka.
She spent the whole day at our house playing with me. We had a crazy fun time. Afterwards I got to have some turkey with my dinner, which was freaking amazing! Then I slept for a really long time, because Asoka makes me tired.
Joe and Julia said their favorite part of the day is when we did a play about the first Thanksgiving.

Bed Inventory

I just got a new bed recently...I have lots of beds. I decided to take stock of all of my awesome sleeping places. As you know from my previous post I LOVE to sleep.

Here's my new bed. It's super soft.

Checking out my new bed!

This was my first bed ever. It was a little too small for me.

Me in my first bed.

I decided to let Frankie, Julia's co-worker's dog, have it. He fits a little better.

Here is my night time bed. Joe and Julia recently got a new bed so this has been made from parts of their old bed. It consists of a memory foam topper cut into 4 pieces and stacked. They are covered in a mattress pad. I also have 2 pillows and an old cashmere (yes, cashmere) sweater to snuggle with.

This is their new bed. Julia and Joe think this is their bed but it's really mine. Once they are out, I'm in.

Waking up from a snooze.

This is where I curl up when Julia is in her office. I also sit here to look out the window and watch all the people go by.

This is where I lay down when Joe is working in the studio. Notice the foam layers below for extra comfort.

This is my argyle covered Poang chair where I watch all my TV.

Joe himself also makes a good bed on occasion.

We're pooped!

New Park

A new dog park opened in Somerville and I was there for the ribbon cutting.
Overall, it was pretty awesome. It's a big park, lots of room to run. It's got some cool features that most dog parks don't have, like an dog walk, and some tunnels. The only part that I don't like is that the ground is some weird clay stuff like kitty litter (I'm a dog! not a cat!!). It's dusty and kind of gross.
It won't be a frequent place to go, like Fresh Pond is (NOTHING compares to how awesome Fresh Pond is!!! NOTHING!!!) but I'll check it out once in a while.
The best part of the day was that they gave out gift bags to all the dogs that came to the opening. There was dog cupcake in it!!! Unfortunately there isn't a picture of the cupcake because it got eaten to quick. YUM!
Here are some pictures for the big event.

Here's the park before the opening.
Here I am waiting with the other dogs.

They are about to let us in!

Woo-hoo!!

Checking out the rock steps.

Playing in the tunnels.

I love ramps!

Afterwards I was tired.

Favorite Activities: #3

Eating!!!

Eating is probably my number 1 most favorite activity. I really like playing. I really like running. I really like jumping. I really like sleeping. But eating blows them all out of the water.  Eating is the one activity that I will stop all other activities in order to do. I would even rather eat then hang out with Asoka (but don't tell her that). You can check out things I like to eat on my recipe page.

Just look how happy it makes me!

Favorite Activities: #2

Sleeping!!!

Sleeping is great. Why? Because sleeping leads to dreaming and I am a VERY active dreamer.
The adventures I have in life are nothing compared to my dreams. I run and jump and bark and chew and moan in my dreams. Then when I wake up, I'm refreshed and ready for my other favorite activities... eating and playing!

Sleep! I love it!

Some of my proudest sleeping moments.

Favorite Activities: #1

Running!

Running is one of my most favorite things to do. I love it.
I love to run at Fresh Pond, and in the dog park, and in the apartment, and on the agility course and with Julia, and anywhere else I can. It's awesome. Especially when I can get up to my top speed (which I'm guessing is about a million miles and hour).  Love it. Love to run.

Stay tuned for more of my favorite activities like eating, sleeping and jumping!

Rain

It rained for the last three days. When that happens, my favorite dog park floods. It keeps most of the dogs away, but I LOVE it.
I had too much fun to take any pictures, but there is a video from the last time this happened so you can see how fun it is.

Looking Good.

I got this sporty tie over the weekend.
It's a tie, so I look professional.
But it has a skull and crossbones on it to make me look 'edgy'
I'm gonna wear it on my next date.

My new look.

Toy Inventory

Here is a quick inventory of my favorite toys.

I am starting with this one because it was my first toy. It's "Frog." He used to have eyes.

Here I am with him on my second day with Joe and Julia.

This is "Fox." He's my favorite.

This is old "Furry Comma" and new "Furry Comma." This is the favorite at the dog park. It's good for playing tug. It's good we got a new one....old one has been sewn up a couple of times already. It's looking pretty tired.

This is "Wubba." This is my and Asoka's favorite tug toy.

This is "Sock Bottle." Joe made this for me from dollar store socks and an empty water bottle. It's awesome!

I'll end my post with my favorite retired toy. This is "Carlos Spicy Wiener." He was great while he lasted. He actually used to wear the hat featured in my blog intro picture. I got that off him pretty fast. Then I worked slowly at his seams until he was completely disemboweled.

I have quite a few more toys in my arsenal. I'm sure the others will be making an appearance down the road.
